  • Streamline the processing of student visa applications without compromising program integrity.
  • Reduce the number of on-hand visa applications.

What is an Australian Student Visa?

Students who wish to study in Australia must apply for an Australian Student Visa. It is a temporary visa that permits international students to stay in Australia for the duration of their studies, which is usually up to 5 years.

As per the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, all international students who plan to study in Australia are required to apply for Subclass 500 visa type.

Types of Australia Student (Subclass 500) Visa:

  • Student visa (subclass 500)

By applying for Student Visa (Subclass 500), a student can:

  • Enroll in a course and participate in an eligible course of study.

Upcoming Intakes in Australia

Universities in Australia have two intakes every year:

Intake 1: Extends from February/early March to late May/early June

Intake 2: Extends from July/early August through to November

Typically, the first intake holds the most importance and is popular among the majority of Indian students. The recommended approach is to prepare for the next intake.

International students have many options for studying in Australia. The quality of education, variety of courses, and post-study work options make it a top pick for Indian students. Australian universities excel in research, especially in arts, humanities, education, and sciences.

Getting an Australian Student Visa is easier compared to other countries. Students need to meet certain requirements to qualify. Once enrolled full-time, they can apply for a visa under Subclass 500.
